TANGKUBAN PERAHU - Bandung

Tangkuban perahu is a tourist place in Bandung which famous for its beauty. This resort is situated in West Bandung regency, about 20 km to the north of the city of Bandung. This boat has a high Tangkuban 2084 meters above sea level. Tangkuban Perahu is also a stratovolcano mountain or mountain (volcano) is high and conical which consists of lava and volcanic ash that hardened. But it has long been Tangkuban Perahu volcano is not active anymore, but it's still steaming hot. Tangkuban This boat has a crater called Domas Crater. This boat Tangkuban shape (when viewed from a distance) like a boat overturned.

Tangkuban Perahu has a beautiful forest area that is often used  as hiking route by nature lovers. At the foot of the mountain, there are people fields that enhancing Tangkuban Perahu beauty.

THE MYTH

Tangkuban Perahu is associated with the legend of Sangkuriang. A young man who was expelled by his mother, who later when growing up Sangkuriang met with a beautiful woman which turns out to be his own mother called Dayang Sumbi,  Sangkuriang fell in love with the woman. its like a forbidden love between mother and son, and Dayang Sumbi try to avoid that to happened . Then Sangkuriang given by Dayang Sumbi requirement to create a lake and a boat in one night. If Sangkuriang successfully complete it, then can marry Dayang Sangkuriang Sumbi. But it was Sangkuriang failed to complete the task. Then Sangkuriang kick bounced off the boat he made so far. And because of its miracle, The boat was turned into a mountain. And so Mount Tangkuban Perahu. This legend is believed by the citizens of Tatar Pasundan.

FACILITIES:

dont woryy be happy, about the facilitation like a hotels, restourant is many in numbers, they exist in every single road which head to tangkuban perahu. the cost of hotels is variative it range cost among Rp. 100.000 - Rp. 2.000.000. you can choose based on your budget. 

ohh one thing i almost forgot, there is so manny rabbit meat seller in the area, probably you wanna try it , but its only  if you not a vegan offcourse :D
